Welcome Info

Welcome! If you want to be an author for this blog, you will need to post your email address (in the form of a comment) so I can invite you to be an author. I will erase emails as soon as I get them so the masses don't have access.

You don't have to be an author in order to contribute. You can post a comment on any post just as you do on any other blog.

Some background for this blog...this blog was started for moms who were members of a community called MayasMom in the Babywise group. Mayasmom is shutting down, so this is one of our answers to that. All Babywise moms (toddlerwise, prechoolwise, childwise, etc.) are welcome. We don't really want to debate Babywise, though. If you have negative things to say, please go say them somewhere else. We are trying to help each other here.

I would love to be an author, too. This seems like it could be a great alternative to BBC since we are losing MM.

What email address do you need? I signed up for Google but I don't use that address regularly. Let me know and I'll give it to you. Thanks!

I am just wondering if someone can tell me how this whole blog thing works. I've left a few comments/questions on the Chronicles of a Babywise mom website and haven't heard anything back yet. I'm not even sure if I'm doing it right. And what does it mean to be an author? Is this blog another place to ask questions? I also noticed at the bottom of the page of comments, it says "subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Is that something you have to do in order to ask questions and stuff? I'm so new at this, but am desperate for some help!! Thank you!

Stephanie, I am the author of BW Chronicles. It does take me several days to answer questions because there are so many questions asked each day. There are several Stephanies I think, but I have answered a lot of Stephanie questions in the last week. If you posted the same you did here, then you did it right.

Hi Reagan. I just read chronic 45min intruder on chronicles of a babywise mom. Thank you I feel sooooo much better.

I actually want to find out how do I go about blanket time? My LO is 9 months. Do I put her on the blamket with some toys, and then when she goes of the blanket just put her back on the blanket?

I'd like to be added too. I have a lot of questions about how to keep going with baby wise. I seem to have come to a road block at 6 months. My address is: clbailey05@gmail.com. I'm also a follower of chronicles of a babywise mom! Thanks for all your work.

Hi, Valerie-

I'm not sure that I want or need to be an author here (but just in case? addy1013@hotmail.com)....But I'm having trouble getting on to your chronicles blog-every time I try to load it up, exploere freezes up on me. I have no issues with any other blogger sites, so not sure if it's me or not.

I'm wondering about the DF. My guy will be 6 months at the end of Oct....He's on a 4 hour sched, eating at 8, 12, 4, 8...Solids 3x/day, 2-3 naps, depending on the day. He goes down at 8pm, and I usually do his DF at 10:30, but suddenly this week he started waking around 10...Last night we tried to let him go, CIO, see what he'd do....But tonight we went ahead and fed him early. Any thoughts on this? He would usually be fine till 10:30/11, take his DF and sleep till 7-8am.

Thanks so much for all the time you spend helping so many of us out. You really are apprectiated.

It could have been a growth spurt or a 6 month disruption. If he is hungry, I would always feed him.

Hi, I hope I'm posting this correctly. I need some advise. My baby is 7 weeks old. She has been on BW Schedule since her first week. At week four I've having trouble with her napping and early morning wake up. She is actually sleeping through the night with a dream feed at 11pm. She will sleep to about 6 or 7 now. I'm not to sure what to do with the 6am wake up (she is hungry), since it's so close to 7. I tried putting her back to bed (she fell asleep) and waking her at 7:30am... Now she seems to overtired already after napping 1.5 hrs and it's only 11:00.
For naps, she shows a yawn after 30 or 40 minutes of being up. (Start of feed) Then she's yawning again! I don't even have time to change her diaper! If I keep her up any longer, she is up 45 mins and the rest of the day is terrible, off schedule and all over the place! Please help! I don't know what do when she wakes up early, how to prevent it. Should I be CIO this early? After a 45 min nap, she has a lot of energy to CIO and can go for while :( I feel so helpless! Should I keep to my feeding schedule even if she hasn't slept... Then keep her awake after?
I'm sorry if you answered these elsewhere, I just can't find the time to hunt it down with her waking all the time and my lovely dial up connection.
Thank you so much!
Sonia

Hi, due to bad gas/colic/reflux beyond staying consistent with the wake-eat-sleep cycle and scheduling we haven't done much else. Our little girl is now 6 months old and I'm beginning to do some sleep training.

I would love a place to post questions and have support!

email ksh.lookinup@yahoo.com

So glad to find some places that support babywise!! Don't know why I didn't do a search earlier.
